Tsuga's Merlin

Merlin is not a dog I would have thought would become a good leader. Hes kind of a goof and is more playful than serious. But when you put him in lead, his focus goes to the trail ahead and nothing can stand in his way. Hell go around, over, or through whatever stands in his trail. I use him in lead at the start of big races because of this and he led all the crazy, early miles of our first Iditarod. Hes finished Quest and all the mid-distance stuff weve done. A broken/sprained toe forced him to be dropped in Koyuk on Iditarod 2013, but hed love another chance to get to Nome in harness.
