BTS Arirang World Tour Heads to Cinemas Worldwide: Live from Goyang and Tokyo
Trafalgar Releasing has joined forces with HYBE and BigHit Music to bring BTS’s world-spanning Arirang tour to cinema screens across the globe, with two live concert broadcasts slated for April.
The seven-member K-pop group will perform full-length shows streamed live from Goyang, South Korea, on April 11, and from Tokyo on April 18. These cinema events serve as the tour’s opening chapter, marking BTS’s first major trek since the 2021–2022 “Permission to Dance on Stage” run. To accommodate fans in different time zones, each territory will screen both concerts twice.
“Trafalgar Releasing is honored to deliver a major cultural moment to cinema audiences worldwide,” stated Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing. “The news of BTS World Tour Arirang has generated extraordinary global demand, and we’re excited to extend our long-standing collaboration with HYBE and BigHit Music. These two full-length live broadcasts from Goyang and Tokyo give fans everywhere a chance to experience the tour on the big screen.”
The tour spans 34 cities and 82 shows, setting a new benchmark for K-pop touring schedules. The performances feature a 360-degree, in-the-round stage design intended to place the audience at the center of the action, delivering an immersive experience.
In parallel, BTS will release their fifth studio album, Arirang, on March 20.
The group comprises RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Since debuting in June 2013, BTS has earned six No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2020 and received five Grammy nominations across the 63rd to 65th ceremonies. Their trophy case also includes accolades from the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.
Trafalgar Releasing previously distributed Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which went on to become the highest-grossing concert film ever. The company operates in more than 15,000 cinemas across 132 countries.
Additional live viewing dates for later in the year are planned, with details to be announced.
