Recently, the company dropped a teaser that hints the launch could be imminent, stirring up plenty of excitement among SUV enthusiasts.
The Tayron is constructed on the versatile MQB EVO platform, which it shares with the popular 5-seater Tiguan and the Skoda Kodiaq, ensuring a solid foundation. The teaser reveals a sneak peek at its front design, showcasing a sleek full-width LED light bar and a prominently illuminated VW logo that sits at the center—features that are sure to catch the eye.
Step inside, and you'll find a modern interior equipped with a stylish 3-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a sizable central touchscreen display. Comfort and convenience are prioritized too, as the Tayron boasts multi-zone automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera, among various other advanced features that enhance the driving experience.
When it comes to performance, the Tayron is expected to be powered by a robust 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering an impressive 201 BHP and 320 Nm of torque. Volkswagen plans to bring the Tayron to India through the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, where it will be assembled at their facility located in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
